Updated photo shows sustained canopy vigor and deep green foliage on treated block.
May 1 Field Observation: Citrus Trial Update
As part of our ongoing citrus trial with grower Bert Quesada, we returned to the orchard on May 1, 2025 to evaluate the treated and untreated blocks one month after the first Manda Harvest application.
This follow-up visit confirms the early trends seen in lab analysis and our previous visual review.
Updated Grove Photo
Citrus Field Comparison – May 1, 2025

South Block (left, Manda-treated) continues to show:
- Full, consistent canopies
- Deep green foliage
- Tighter, more compact tree structure
North Block (right, untreated) remains healthy but shows:
- Slightly more open canopies
- Thinner foliage density in places
- Greater variation in tree shape
Takeaways
- Visual differences continue to favor the Manda-treated block
- These signs support the nutrient uptake gains observed in tissue analysis
- No signs of nutrient stress are currently visible
New Growth Observation: Leaf Expansion
In addition to the canopy-level observations, close-up leaf images revealed a meaningful difference in how spring flush leaves are developing.
- Treated trees showed leaves that were fully expanded, flat, and glossy, indicating strong hormonal activity, turgor pressure, and nutrient flow.
- In contrast, untreated trees had more cupped or partially folded leaves, which may suggest delayed expansion or lower physiological activity.
Leaf expansion is strongly influenced by potassium, calcium, and plant hormone signaling—factors Manda Harvest is known to support. This visual cue adds another layer of confirmation to the tissue analysis results seen in April.
